Serena Williams Asks for Some Pregnancy Advice and Twitter Delivers!
When you’re pregnant for the first time, you have a lot of questions. SO many questions. And while most of us check the Google Machine, read some books or ask a sister or friend, some of us have more than 8 million people ready to help answer the odd question here and there.
Serena Williams has been having some trouble sleeping comfortably. The 7 months pregnant tennis superstar is finding it difficult to turn over in the night and took to Twitter to ask her 8.81 million followers for advice.
Any tips on how to turn over at night? 😰I’m having trouble from going from my left ….to my right…. to my left side. 🤰🏾

And they delivered. Ohh boy, did they deliver. Her fans were quick to share their personal tips with the 35-year-old tennis champ.
Lay on your left side and put a pillow between your legs. I only lay on my left side it’s best for the baby. I believe it’s blood flow.

Silk or satin sheets. The more slippery the better!

Hi Serena! My wife slept with a really large pillow between her legs that went up to her chest and it was a lot more comfortable for her!

Roll on your back, Mama…then roll right/then back/ then left. You have to sing the lyrics to the Tootsie Roll! I don’t make the rules.

Oh goodness, I remember those days. My key was to roll onto my back first, then rest for a minute before rolling to the other side.

Just throw a backhand and your body will follow. Strange to give a woman advice on how to move when she moves better than any other human.

There were suggestions for Serena’s fiance, Alexis Ohanian, to help push her over in the night, something that the Reddit co-founder agreed with!
Wake ur man up and have him push or pull u. If I can’t turn, he’s not sleeping.

This.

Then came the best advice of all. It’s not at all helpful, but it’s still the best advice.
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.

In April, Serena revealed on social media that she was 20-weeks pregnant, and she has been proudly showing off her baby bump on Instagram ever since.
Struggling to turn over in the night while pregnant has to be one of the most frustrating things that so many of us have experienced while heavily pregnant. It’s lovely to see such a down to earth mum-to-be have the same experience as all of us and reach out for support.
We are so looking forward to hearing Serena’s and Alexis’ baby news in a couple of months. And we hope that they both manage to get some solid sleep before their little one arrives, too!
