Sophie Monk And Stu Laundy Looking At IVF To Fulfil Their Baby Dreams
With the Bachelorette well and truly over, focus has now turned to how Sophie Monk and her still married partner Stu Laundy plan on having kids considering the dad of four has had the ‘snip.’
Monk, 37, revealed during an interview with News Corp that she and Laundy, 44, have discussed IVF as one way of getting around Stu’s situation.
“The vasectomy doesn’t really matter because it can be reversed pretty quickly or regardless I could go freeze my eggs and chuck ‘em over to wherever he’s got his sperm banked,” Monk said, hinting that Laundy had “planned ahead” before he had his vasectomy 10 years ago.
“We have two options but we haven’t really discussed them yet,” he said. “We should probably go out and have a meal first.”
Since the Bachelorette ended two months ago, Laundy and Monk have only met up twice, when they were taken to remote locations to spend time together away from the public and media.
On the topic of marriage, Laundy revealed that he’s close to reaching an agreement with his soon to be ex-wife.“I am trying to finalise a divorce for my and my ex-wife’s happiness and we’re very, very close. So we’re trying to finalise it so we can move on and co-parent our children,” he said.
Monk also shared her views about receiving a proposal during the finale. “I’m glad he didn’t propose. That would have freaked me out! You’ve got to remember you haven’t slept with anyone at that point, so to propose … that’s why when I watched Blake (Garvey propose to Sam Frost) I was like, ‘how can you do that without having sex?’”.
Well, we all know how that one ended up. Let’s hope Monk and Laundy have better luck!
