Tom Hanks And Wife Rita Wilson Have Tested Postive For Coronavirus!
It’s recently been announced that Hollywood actor Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson have the coronavirus.
The Academy Award-winning actor is currently in Australia filming a movie about the life of Elvis Presley. He wrote about the diagnosis on Instagram saying, “Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive.”
He then added, “Well, now. What to do next? The medical officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety require.
“Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?”
Tom Hanks and Rita Wison, are currently on the Gold Coast where Hanks is playing the role of Colonel Tom Parker who groomed the singer to stardom in the 1950s.
In a statement released by Warner Bros., the studio behind the film said, “The health and safety of our company members are always our top priority, and we are taking precautions to protect everyone who works on our productions around the world.”
Ann Curry, a journalist and former host of NBC’s “Today,” said on Twitter: “Ok, now we all have someone we love diagnosed with #coronavirus.”
Hollywood celebrities immediately took to social media to offer support for the couple who are no doubt currently in isolation. “Wishing two of the kindest, coolest, most talented people in the world @tomhanks & @RitaWilson a swift recovery,” Mia Farrow said on Twitter.
We all wish Tom and Rita a speedy recovery and hope they feel better soon – hope they’ve stocked up on toilet paper!
