Week #52 of Celebrity Fashion, Celebrity Style and Celebrity Pics.
Another big week on the red carpet both locally and overseas with the ARIAs being held in Sydney last week! Who is your Best Dressed out of this bunch? And who is do you think failed badly?
Dita Von Teese
Dita von Teese attended the Cafe Royal on day two of the-miumiu-london temporary women’s club in London yesterday evening.
After spending the afternoon at the ‘Valentino: Master Of Couture’ exhibition showing at Somerset House, that the burlesque star went back into the archives to select this Valentino Spring 2008 Couture dress.
Her black-and-white floral-jacquard dress with puffed shoulders and an open neckline was cinched at the waist with a black leather belt.
Signature Dita styling, including retro waves, red lippie and Christian Louboutin heels, completed her look.
Love love love it.
Amy Adams glammed up for the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ 2012 Governors Awards held at Hollywood and Highland on Saturday in Hollywood.
The “On The Road” actress stood tall in a gorgeous Jenny Packham gold and black beaded blouson gown with plunging neckline and black underlay, which comes from the designer’s Fall/Winter 2012 runway collection.
The fabric suits her beautifully. But I’m not totally sold on this style of bodice – maybe I’d like it more if it were more empire shaped with the band a little higher? Not sure.
Katy Perry is stunning while attending the Unicef Snowflake Ball held at Cipriani on Tuesday in New York City.
The 28-year-old singer is wearing a navy column Naeem Khan gown enriched with floral beaded details and a fabulous cape, Guiseppi Zanotti shoes, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, and a Judith Leiber clutch.
A little Morticia Addams, sure. But stunning nevertheless.
Jessica Mauboy hit the black carpet at the Australian music industry’s night-of-nights – the ARIA Awards, hosted this year at Sydney’s Entertainment Centre.
The songstress opted for a gold “Midas” gown from Alex Perry. Jessica accessorised her embellished, fish-tail number with delicate drop earrings, a dainty butterfly ring and a diva-licious, over the shoulder ‘do.
I love how they got her out in the carpark among the cigarette butts.
Nicki Minaj is super colourful at the 2012 ARIA Awards held at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on Thursday.
The 29-year-old entertainer wore Sydney label Camilla, stepping out in the designer’s ‘Rainbow Gathering’ fringed top and leggings. She finished her head-turning look with an embellished pair of Christian Louboutin Un Bout heels.
Taylor Swift hits the black carpet at the 2012 ARIA Awards at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on Thursday in Sydney, Australia.
The 22-year-old singer looked lovely in an ivory sleeveless chiffon gown with banded bodice from the Spring/Summer 2013 Elie Saab Ready to Wear collection.
Her ivory sleeveless chiffon gown with a banded bodice is a beautiful ethereal look, but it was so wrong for the occasion. With the majority of the stars at this event wearing mini dresses with futuristic prints, Taylor looked a tad overdressed.
Right dress, wrong occasion but still Best Dressed for me this week.
Katy Perry hit the red carpet at the 2012 Billboard Women In Music Luncheon held at Capitale on Friday in New York City.
The 28-year-old entertainer was honored with the Woman of the Year distinction!
Katy is wearing Oscar de la Renta with an EFFY ring.
I love this so much. I would totally wear this stunning frock but I don’t think I could ever rock it quite as well as Katy. This one was my second favourite look this week, and only just. It nearly made best dressed.
Lea Michele hit up the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s and In Style‘s celebration of the 2013 Golden Globes Awards Season held at Cecconi’s on Thursday in West Hollywood.
The 26-year-old actress is wearing a Valentino Spring 2013 gown, Giambattista Valli shoes, a Fendi bag, Irene Neuwirth earrings, and an Eddie Borgo bracelet.
Her blush georgette gown features three-quarter-length sleeves, a faux wraparound construction with a v-neck at the bodice and an open back.
I love this, it looks so lovely to wear. I just want to feel the fabric.
Kristen Stewart smiles on the red carpet at the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ 4th Annual Governors Awards held at Hollywood and Highland on Saturday evening in Hollywood.
The 22-year-old actress wore a black and white lace Talbot Runhoff Spring 2013 collection gown.
The short-sleeve dress featured a v-shaped centre panel at the front and back of white delicate floral lace that was framed by black lace embellished with beads and pearls. The sleeves were black patent trimmed to match the belt separating the lace bodice from a slightly ruched floor-length fishtail silk skirt.
Wow!! I DON’T HATE IT!!
Fergie attended the 2012 Footwear News Achievement Awards held at The Museum of Modern Art on Tuesday in New York City.
Fergie is wearing a Pucci dress and Fergie Footwear shoes.
There is something wrong here but I just can’t put my finger on it. It should work, but it doesn’t. It’s making her look much wider than she really is.
Also, she should have washed her hair.
Diane Kruger attended the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s and In Style‘s celebration of the 2013 Golden Globes Awards Season held at Cecconi’s on Thursday in West Hollywood.
The 36-year-old actress wore a Rochas Spring 2013 look featuring a cropped black blouse with white buttons and a voluminous pocketed ball skirt with a thin white leather belt.
She accessorised with Chanel peep-toe booties featuring black crystal-embellished lattice design on top of white tulle, black satin and grosgrain bow detail.
There is nothing grossly appalling about this and the fashion world is abuzz with how awesome it is. But it’s not something I would ever hope to wear.
Cate Blanchett hit the red carpet of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey world premiere held at the Embassy Theatre on Wednesday in Wellington, New Zealand.
Cate rocked a tricolour Antonio Berardi Resort 2013 gown featuring a sheer pink top with a fitted bustier, white corset-like centre and long black crepe skirt.
She accessorised with Roger Viver Prismick metallic t-strap sandals.
Cate is always styled on the kookier side and often pulls it off well. This looks is no exception.
