Week #57 of Celebrity Fashion, Celebrity Style and Celebrity Pics.
Here are 15 of the best and worst of all the glamour that is the latest red carpet event – the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards (aka The SAGS). There was really only the one stand out failure in this bunch. See if you can pick it….
The 14 year old Modern Family actress wore an Alex Perry Spring 2013 gown, B by Brian Atwood shoes and jewels by Graziela and Jamie Wolf. Ariel carried Swarovski’s lavender crystal Kiosque clutch.
I adore this girl, she’s stunning.
The Impossible’s leading lady looked sensational in a Marchesa strapless gown with silver metallic embroidery and crystal embellishments.
A matching silver clutch, Christian Louboutin grey satin ‘Angelique’ peep-toes and Faberge jewels including an emerald ring completed her simply elegant style.
The Good Wife nominee showed some leg in a two-toned Chado Ralph Rucci dress. In addition to the alternating colours of the bodice, skirt and hemline, the high-neck was balanced with a thigh-high envelope slit. She accessorised with black cutout Christian Louboutin ‘Zigouwi’ sandals, stud earrings and a modern beehive do.
And how about hubs, hey ladies? Not bad at all!!
The Odd Life of Timothy Green actress looked regal wearing a strapless, golden bronze Oscar de la Renta gown from Pre-Fall 2013, Brian Atwood heels and David Webb jewels.
The Hemingway & Gellhorn star looked sensational in an embroidered Vivienne Westwood Couture midnight blue gown featuring glittering floral applique detail, a thigh-high slit and sheer yoke.
Possibly the best dressed of the entire event! Do you agree?
The Big Bang Theory actress wore a Romona Keveza Spring 2013 gown.
Her waltz-length lace gown featuring a sculptured bodice was styled with an impressive pink-and-red love-heart manicure, a diamond tennis bracelet, ruby satin pumps and a ruby-stone clutch.
What in the world is going on here? What is with the helmet hair??
(Did you pick it?)
The Les Miserables actress looked sensational in a Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2013 gown featuring a strapless, sweetheart neckline plunged into a cascade of tiered layers at the bottom. I’m not sure that Lorraine Schwartz pendant is very red-carpet but 10 points to her for thinking outside the (jewellery) box.
The Sessions star shimmered in a platinum design by Romona Keveza Fall 2012. The minimalist sequined column dress had extra oomph added thanks to a small train.
Helen styled the gown with a matching clutch by Swarovski and a diamond choker, bevy of bangles and earrings by Neil Lane.
I adore this on her, she looks amazing.
Another one in midnight blue, The Silver Linings Playbook actress donned a Christian Dior Spring 2013 Couture gown and Chopard jewellery.
The Les Miserables Best Supporting Actress winner stepped out wearing a black tulle Giambattisa Valli Spring 2013 Couture gown with embroidered corset, custom vegan Jimmy Choo shoes, and Kwait jewels. Hathaway carried an Eddie Parker clutch.
I’m not totally in love with this, it just sort of hangs there. But she looks lovely.
The Downton Abbey actress flashed sideboob in a vintage black Chado Ralph Rucci gown. Her simple satin gown with a sheer trim was styled with a black and gold Bulgari clutch with a gold-embellished wrap around bracelet from the same designer plus black satin Rupert Sanderson ‘Elba’ pumps.
What do you think of the side-boob? Too over the top or no different to “normal” cleavage?
The Last Stand actress stopped traffic wearing a plunging, statement-making, jet-black gown from the Marc Bouwer Fall 2012 collection.
The Fashion Police judge chose a Jenny Packham cap-sleeve gown and Kimberly McDonald earrings.
I guess she looks happy enough but come on Kelly, lose the purple hair!
The French actress and nominee for her leading role in ‘Rust and Bone’ is a brand ambassador for Christian Dior, so it’s no surprise she selected a look from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection.
I love this, the way the satin gathers and falls at the front is divine. And I swear that the mullet dress was a clever marketing ploy by the footwear industry.
Bringing dweeby back.
So what do you think of all the glitz and glamour of this year’s SAG Awards? Have your say in the comments!
