Celebrity Fashion Fix
Not as many big name stars were out and about this week, I suspect they were still recovering from the fantabulous Met Gala Ball last Tuesday. Still, there are some gorgeous looks among this lot, with a couple of looks that I would gladly wear! Which one is your favourite this week?
Kate Bosworth attended a screening of her new film Black Rock on Wednesday (May 8) at the ArcLight in Hollywood.
Kate wore a Miu Miu dress which featured a pearl-grey satin godet skirt and a white-and-silver embroidered top which was styled with metallic-silver Prada pumps and a blue python Prada clutch.
If those shoes get any pointier they’ll need little red flags on the end and a special convoy of little cars with “Danger, Long Load” signs and teeny tiny flashing lights. Could cause quite a scene, really.
Also, while I like the colours and the fabric, I hate the cut and design of both the top and the skirt. Same fabrics different design would have been lovely.
Zooey Deschanel was spotted heading into the Ed Sullivan Theatre for an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday (May 7) in New York City.
What is not to love about this fun dressy/casual look? The sweet lil denim ballet flats, the fabulously girly skirt, the retro cardi and her gorgeous gorgeous hair… I love it all. She looks fantastic.
Demi Lovato hit the orange carpet at the 2013 102.7 KIIS FM’s Wango Tango concert held at The Home Depot Center on Saturday (May 11) in Carson, California.
Now this is a fail on all levels, and not just because she looks like Justin Bieber in drag.
Her crop top looks more like a training bra and it looks like it’s sitting far too high (even though it’s not). If her top hadn’t been sheer we wouldn’t have seen the crop detail and it may have looked better. Hair and make-up is cute but a non-beige lippy would have been better. Over all, it’s not a good look.
Kerry Washington greets fans outside of the Ed Sullivan Theater before her appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman on Monday (May 6) in New York City.
The 36-year-old actress looked beautiful in this Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2013 dress featuring a deep plunging neckline, a sheer hem skirt with a lily-printed panel, and a draped top accented with a studded leather belt.
Kerry styled her look with Christian Louboutin Pigalle Plato pumps from the Spring 2013 collection featuring black & white patent leather with a 1/2″ platform.
The more I look at this the more I like it. And the more I want to feed her a cookie.
Stacy Keibler hits the red carpet at the2013 A&E Networks Upfront on Wednesday (May 8) at the Tent at Lincoln Center in New York City.
The 33-year-old entertainer was on hand to promote her new show Supermarket Superstars, premiering on Lifetime in July.
Stacy is wearing a Monique Lhuiller dress, Alejandro Ingelmo shoes, and Jennifer Fisher jewellery.
If you are ever in the market for a dress to show off your saddlebags, big or small, this is the one for you.
Anne Hathaway hit the red carpet at the Tate Americas Foundation Artists Dinner on Wednesday evening (May 8) at Skylight Studios at Moynihan Station in New York City.
Anne is wearing a pink high-neck organza Givenchy Spring 2013 mini dress featuring gold metal plaque insets at the shoulder. Gold Pour La Victoire’s metallic ‘Bethanie’ sandals, a gold Jimmy Choo clutch and kohl-rimmed eyes completed her look.
I like it. I am over the shock of her new hair and think she looks radiant. And I love the shoes.
What do you think of Anne’s new look?
More Celebrity Dresses
Kerry Washington hits the red carpet at the premiere of her new film Peeples on Wednesday (May 8) at the ArcLight in Hollywood.
The 36-year-old actress wore a Narciso Rodriguez Fall 2013 dress with a high-low hemline, Christian Louboutin ‘Paulina’ shoes, a Vince Camuto bag, and a Movado watch at the premiere.
It doesn’t fit her very well through the bust, does it? I like the concept of it, but it’s just not sitting right.
Katheryn Winnick hit the red carpet at the2013 A&E Networks Upfront on Wednesday (May 8) at the Tent at Lincoln Center in New York City.
The 35-year-old Bones actress was there to promote her new A&E series “Vikings” and wore a divine Armani frock.
I love everything about this. I love how it matches her colouring perfectly and yet doesn’t wash her out. I love how the pleats are cinched in with the belt and then fall over her hips in soft folds. I love how she hasn’t gone over the top with her accessories and has kept it to the minimum with delicate jewellery and white patent leather.
If I were to ever be invited anywhere that would call for a designer frock, I would aim to look just like this.
Mariska Hargitay hit the red carpet at the 2013 Joyful Heart Foundation Gala on Thursday (May 9) at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
Realising that she hadn’t popped down to the dry cleaners to get her dress back in time, Mariska fashioned a gown out of a hotel bedsheet and borrowed someone’s bike chain to wear with a fancy drinks coaster as a necklace.
She does look lovely though. And she pulls it off nicely. But I would have stuck to just the one necklace. Perhaps the non-bikechain&heartcoaster one.
Irish TV personality Laura Whitmore arrives at the 2013 Arqiva British Academy Television Awards held at the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday (May 12) in London, England.
The 28 year old presenter wore a Sophia Kah Fall Winter 2013 Black and Gold Skirt with a simple black sleeveless top.
I love Laura’s look, top to bottom.
Elsa Pataky is a sparkling beauty while attending the premiere of her new film Fast & Furious 6 at the Empire Leicester Square on Tuesday (May 7) in London, England.
The stunning 36-year-old actress and model wore a gorgeous Naeem Khan crystal deco-beaded tulle slip gown from the designer’s Fall 2013 collection.
Mrs Hemsworth scrubs up alright, doesn’t she?
Sarah Jessica Parker
Sarah Jessica Parker hit the red carpet at the Tate Americas Foundation Artists Dinner on Wednesday evening (May 8) at Skylight Studios at Moynihan Station in New York City.
SJP is wearing a beautiful vintage purple swirly print dress from Alexandra New York, Roger Vivier Killing Me Softly pumps from the Rendez-Vous collection featuring a beautiful hand painted watercolour design, Fred Leighton earrings, a Repossi turquoise ring, and a Fendi cuff and rings.
She looks lovely! I like!
