Young Aussie surfing star Sabre Norris, first captured our hearts after appearing on the Today Show and has now done the same with US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.
The 11 year old left the Today show hosts in fits of laughter a few weeks ago after announcing she wanted to spend her prize money from a surfing competition on doughnuts. She then went on say her Olympic bronze-medalist dad Justin “was an athlete but now he’s um… pretty fat”.
The channel nine footage caught the attention of Ellen who invited the youngster to appear on her talk show. During the sit down the bubbly Aussie could not stop talking and charmed the audience with her hilarious stories!
“If I want to be a swimmer like dad, I don’t have to do any jobs, but if I want to be a surfer I’ve got to do this gnarly list of jobs,” Sabre said. She then went on to say her dad really wanted her to be a swimmer “but swimming sucks! It’s just really boring, you just watch a line, it’s just… not fun,” she said.
Norris expressed to the talk show host how much she would LOVE to go to Vegas just so she can experience the all-you-can-eat buffets!
“Like you can get Krispy Kreme doughnuts for breakfast and lava cake for breakfast and crab legs for breakfast,” she excitedly told Ellen. “When I win a world title and I’m rich, I’m gonna go there to celebrate and I’m gonna eat whatever I want for breakfast, lunch and dinner.”
Luckily for Norris she didn’t have to wait that long as Ellen surprised her with a gift that included plane tickets to Las Vegas to stay at the Planet Hollywood resort as well as an additional $500 which saw Norris screaming her head off! That prize was then followed with tickets to go see her favourite singer Justin Bieber in Sydney.
Not bad for a little Aussie chick don’t you think?
