Do you have trouble finding the right bathers?

It ís heading towards that time of the year, where you start to think about Summer, God forbid Christmas, holidays, the beach and OMG BATHERS. Why do women freak out about swimwear? It ís simple, there ís nowhere to hide in your togs and that can make us feel exposed.
I say love who you are, but fortunately there are some simple style tricks that can help you look and feel comfy in your bathers.

Here are a few tips to help you feel like a million dollars on the beach.

What type of bathers should I consider?

Firstly, ascertain what purpose you required them for. If they are for laps or aqua aerobics, then they need to be chlorine resistant. If it’s a fashion suit, something a little more glamorous, then support and shape are important.

What bathers suit a big bust?

I recommend being fitted, (just like bra’s). Correct sizing through the back of the garment is important so that it fits properly through the front. The suit needs to be firm, as lycra will give half a size. Sizes can range from an A cup through to H cup depending on where you buy them. Small print like tiny florals will make your bust appear bigger, aim for a bigger print or a dark colour. Also go for an adjustable strap.

Choose styles with extra detailing, like frills and ruffles on the top, or try a padded cup for a little lift.
Side boning is great to hold your bikini top in place.

What bathers suit a tummy?

An A-line style tankini works well, as they skim not cling. Make sure the top reaches the bottom. ìNancy Ganzî have a great style out at the moment with tummy control bottoms. Ruching is a great way to hide any bumps. Highlight your assets with a great neckline or high cut bottoms to show off your legs. Avoid horizontal lines.

What bathers suit a big bottom?

Aim for bright or pattern tops to draw the eye up, matched with dark coloured bottoms to minimize the bottom half. Choose a flattering neckline to accentuate the top half. Dark colours have a slimming effect, as do larger prints. Avoid tiny floral prints, try a skirt bikini or shorter board shorts, be careful with long board shorts, as they can cut you off.

Don’t forget the sunscreen and relax.
