Thermomix Mocha ‘Nice-Cream’

If you own a Thermomix you may have already discovered the joys of guilt-free ‘nice-cream’. And what we mean by that, is ice-cream that is actually healthy! Yes, healthy! Umm… does it get any better than that?

‘Nice-cream’ made in the Thermomix has a banana base which gives you the most beautiful, creamy soft serve style ice-cream. You can mix and match it with lots of different fruits and flavours… in fact the possibilities are endless (one of my favourite combinations is peanut butter and chocolate – but we’ll save that little gem for another day!).

But by far, one of the most popular ‘nice-cream’ flavours in our house is Mocha. And we all know that the delicious combination of chocolate and coffee is super hard to beat!

This healthy recipe contains banana, cocoa powder, agave syrup and coffee. In fact it’s healthy enough that you could totally eat it for breakfast… lunch… and dinner (well that might be pushing it a little too far!). I also love to sprinkle over a few cacao nibs just before serving. This gives your ‘nice-cream’ a beautiful crunch and an extra chocolatey taste.

Thermomix Mocha Ice-Cream 6 If you’re a coffee lover at heart, then amp up the amount of coffee granules you use. The 1 tsp that I’ve used in this recipe will give you a very mild flavour. On the other hand, if you aren’t a coffee fan, then you can leave it out completely or even try adding in a teaspoon or two of Milo for a choc-malt twist.

Thermomix Mocha ‘Nice-Cream’ Recipe – Serve 2

Thermomix Mocha ‘Nice-Cream’

Ingredients

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 tbs agave syrup
  • 1 heaped tbs cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp coffee granules (add more or less depending on your taste preference)
  • 1 tsp cacao nibs, for sprinkling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen banana, agave syrup, coffee granules and cocoa powder into the Thermomix bowl.
  2. Slowly increase to Speed 10 for 20 seconds.
  3. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  4. Slowly increase to Speed 10 for 40 seconds.
  5. Sprinkle with cacao nibs (optional).
  6. Serve immediately.
