It wasn’t until last year, when my husband began playing cricket for our local side, that I discovered Voltaren Emulgel. After a particularly physical game, and one too many dives for the ball, my husband found himself in the Pharmacy looking for some relief from his aches and pains.
Voltaren Emulgel is used to treat inflammation of the muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments due to trauma, soft tissue rheumatism and localised rheumatic conditions, and back, shoulder and neck pain. It comes in the form of a non-steroidal topical gel containing diclofenac, which works to relieve the pain and reduce the inflammation.
Unlike some other topical treatments, it actually has quite a pleasant smell, and I also like the way it is absorbed into the skin without leaving any greasy-type residues behind.
And yes, it really works, which is why I always recommend family and friends who are suffering from joint and muscle pain to give it a try.
