Jamie Oliver Needs Your Help! Sign the Petition for Better Food Education for All Children

Just when you thought it was impossible to love Jamie Oliver any more than you already do, he takes his passion for fresh, nutritious food to the next level and launches a petition to force governments across the world to promise and commit to teaching every child how to grow and cook fresh nutritious food at school.

Why is it so important?

In most countries around the world diet related diseases now kill more people than they have ever diner before – and it is preventable.

Consider this: 42 million children worldwide under the age of 5 are either overweight or obese.  It’s a horrifying statistic, isn’t it?

Kids as young as 8 years old are being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes – a disease that used to be associated with people in their 40’s.

Jamie Oliver believes that it is a child’s human right to be taught how to grow and cook fresh, nutritious food at school, and he needs your help to fight for every child’s right to a quality food education, to reverse the global rise of obesity and diet related diseases.  Together we can force governments to stop ignoring this issue, and arm the future generation with the life skills they need to lead healthier, happier and more productive lives.

Your support is twofold.  Please sign Jamie’s petition and help make a difference by sharing it.

Jolene enjoys writing, sharing and connecting with other like-minded women online – it also gives her the perfect excuse to ignore Mount-Washmore until it threatens to bury her family in an avalanche of Skylander T-shirts and Frozen Pyjama pants. (No one ever knows where the matching top is!) Likes: Reading, cooking, sketching, dancing (preferably with a Sav Blanc in one hand), social media, and sitting down on a toilet seat that one of her children hasn’t dripped, splashed or sprayed on. Dislikes: Writing pretentious crap about herself in online bio’s and refereeing arguments amongst her offspring.
