Make Your Own Stamps

Make Your Own Stamps

Our family of six goes through about 18L of milk a week. (I’m thinking it would be beneficial for us to invest in our own cow, but not surprisingly, suburbia and bovine don’t really mix). Because of our large milk consumption, and also the fact that I don’t like spending a lot of money on craft supplies, I began collecting the milk bottle caps for our craft/activities box.

Milk bottle caps are quite a versatile craft supply and this will show you one way to use them in a fun craft activity.

Using some foam shape stickers (purchased from a craft store or a discount store) and milk bottle caps, it’s very easy to create your own stamps. Just peel the paper off the back of the stickers and place them onto the top of the milk bottle cap.

Set up some paints and some paper, and let your children have some stamping fun!

This is a simple, yet fun activity. It’s easy on the budget, also a great way to make wrapping paper, and is suitable for children of all ages.

She writes at Aspiring Mum – which was conceived in order to encourage other mums through the often tiresome journey of motherhood.  While not proclaiming to be an expert (except, perhaps in nappy changes), Debbie writes to share ideas, inspiration and encouragement on all things mothering. Jolene enjoys writing, sharing and connecting with other like-minded women online – it also gives her the perfect excuse to ignore Mount-Washmore until it threatens to bury her family in an avalanche of Skylander T-shirts and Frozen Pyjama pants. (No one ever knows where the matching top is!) Likes: Reading, cooking, sketching, dancing (preferably with a Sav Blanc in one hand), social media, and sitting down on a toilet seat that one of her children hasn’t dripped, splashed or sprayed on. Dislikes: Writing pretentious crap about herself in online bio’s and refereeing arguments amongst her offspring.
