He was the guy who rocked up to The X Factor Australia auditions in his hi-vis work uniform to follow his dream of becoming a singer – and boy did he blow the judges away.
Unfortunately for Big T, he was eliminated from the competition on Tuesday night after a sing-off with James Blunt’s last contestant, Louise Adams.
The decision came down to Dannii Minogue, who sent the decision to deadlock.
“I want it to be Australia’s choice,” she said.
Big T, whose real name Tangaroa Te Tai, was gracious in his defeat despite missing out on the grand final.
“I’d like to thank X factor for this journey of a lifetime. If you’ve got a dream, anything is possible if you work hard,” he said. “To everyone here, good luck and may the best person win.”
