Bruce ‘Hoppo’ Hopkins and Runaway Bride Confirm Split After one Year of Marriage
Bondi Rescue‘s Bruce ‘Hoppo Hopkins has revealed that he has split from his wife of one year, Stacey.
After firstly leaving him at the altar in 2013, pair successfully got hitched just over a year ago, but things have reportedly turned sour.
Speaking to Woman’s Day magazine, Hoppo, 47, explained that they decided to end their relationship last November following a trip to Japan together.
‘We tried to work on things but it was all over when she finally told me she just wasn’t in love anymore,’ he said. ‘I think if she was in love with me, she fell out of love.’
He also confessed that he regrets giving Stacey a second chance after she left him at the altar in December 2013.
‘I regret going through with the marriage now – but I made that decision to take her back and marry her so I have to stand by that,’ Bruce said.
The couple tied the knot last March in an intimate ceremony at the New South Wales’ Crooked River Wines.
