Cleavage on Show Must GO, Says Fashion Bible

It’s time to put our boobs away ladies because the fashion bible, Vogue, says cleavage on show must go.

According to Vogue UK, cleavage is no longer on trend. The December issue stated ‘cleavage has gone bust.’

The writer of the article, Kathleen Baird-Murray, says D-cups, plunging necklines and exposed breasts are no longer in. What was once used as a way to flirt and sport one’s fuller figure is now seen as out of fashion. Our boobies need to be put away from sight – especially from men as “the t**s will not be out for the lads”.

In her article titled, ‘Desperately Seeking Cleavage’ Baird-Murray writes, “The cleavage — those magnificent mounds pushed together to display sexual empowerment, to seduce, to inspire lust or even just to show off — is over, or at least, taking a well-earned break.

“Rejecting the stereotypes of gender has been brought sharply into focus, with the days of women as eye-candy, their sexuality positively smouldering rather than subtly played out, officially over.”

Fashion will follow suit in ensuring a lady’s front assets are well covered.

Bra sales have noticed the change in the way we shop for bras. Push up bra sales have gone down, but soft-seamed cup bras are what women are spending their money on.

Even the red carpet will feature celebrities covering their breasts. Vogue says cleavage will be replaced with exposed shoulders, stomach or legs.

The reason cleavage has gone out of style is due to a number of reasons, but the main one being the online obsession by both men and women when cleavage is exposed.

Celebrity stylist Elizabeth Saltzman told The Telegraph whenever one of her clients shares a cleavage heavy photo on Instagram “out of about 100,000 comments, 90,000 will be about … boobs.”

“That’s not healthy, that’s creepy,” Saltzman said.

The response to the article has been largely critical. Many have hit back with their own witty responses about the non-show of breasts. It’s not like we can exchange our breasts for smaller ones.

new boobsWhether the fashion directive will be adopted by women all over, who knows.
Sadly if you’re well-endowed in that area, you will no longer be on trend.

And don’t even get us started on how the new fashion trend applies to breastfeeding.

What do you think about the latest trend ruling? Should women expose what they want without having to worry what is in fashion?
