One of Jennifer Aniston’s closest friends, radio and television personality Howard Stern, has spilled some details on her and Justin Theroux’s recent surprise wedding.
Howard, who was asked to make a speech at the wedding, revealed to his listeners on his radio show that he was one of a handful of people who knew that the ‘party’ at the couple’s mansion was actually a wedding.
“I’m very friendly with Justin,” Stern explained. “I like him very much. I like him, I really admire him. I even said in my speech to them that if one of my daughters brought home a guy like Justin, I’d be very pleased.”
He explained that he wasn’t happy with the couple’s choice of seating for guests.
“They had these little tiny chairs. There was a table, and then you sit down and the chairs were like poufs, like little pillow poufs,” he said. “I’m 6-foot-f — king-5 (1.95m)! I’m a grown man!”
He also revealed that they had a ‘no phone’ rule where the guests were asked to hand their phones in on arrival to the wedding.
“The irony is, I’ve been on vacation with those two, and they take pictures every f — king minute!” Stern joked. “They’re constantly shooting pictures. But if I take a picture, I’m committing a sin!”
Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel threw Justin’s bachelor party and also officiated the ceremony.
“He did a beautiful job,” said Howard. “I didn’t think he’d get through it. Jimmy’s still depressed about that lion getting killed over in Africa … Ellen was mad that I made fun of Jimmy for crying.”
Lastly, Howard revealed that their first dance as husband and wife was to a Sia song.
“It was very romantic,” he said.
