Ex-wife of My Kitchen Rules contestant Adam Anderson calls him a ‘deadbeat dad’.

Cindy Anderson, who was married to My Kitchen Rules contestant Adam Anderson for 20 years, has told A Current Affair that he owes thousands of dollars in child support and hasn’t seen his 5 children in over a year.

Cindy claims that the former Tennis Pro owes more than $36,000 in support and contact with his children, aged between 8 and 15, has diminished since re-marrying his My Kitchen Rules partner Carol Molloy.

‘The children also have no emotional support from him. He does not ring them, nor come and see them,’ she said, adding ‘they do not receive a card for birthdays in the mail, not even a phone call. He’s never played an active, massive role in their lives anyway…but basically his role now is non-existent, he’s pretty much wiped his hands clean of the children,’ Cindy said.

She also said the reason she approached A Current Affair rather than deal with the problem privately is because ‘He has blocked my number and both his childrens’ numbers – the older two girls have phones’.

Cindy also threw another spanner in the workds, claiming that Adam used to coach My Kitchen Rules judge Pete Evans and work at his Kings Cross establishment, Hugo’s, after their separation.

Channel Seven denied this claim, saying ‘They met for the first time on the program’.
