Ferris Bueller’s Day off was Thirty Years ago!

On June 5th 1985, Ferris Bueller decided to take a day off.

John Hughes, who directed the movie, wrote it in a total of 6 days. He then spent around $5 million to make the movie and then it went and made $70 million at the box office!

It also turned Matthew Broderick into a huge movie star.

Sadly, John Hughes passed away in 2009 at the age of 59 after suffering a heart attack in New York.
