Gina and Anna first eliminated team from MKR after disastrous instant restaurant.

Mother and daughter duo Gina and Anna have been the first team eliminated from My Kitchen Rules after a menu that no one was happy with.
They had said they were on the show to ‘smash the competition’ and that ‘failure wasnt an option for them’ so expectations from the judges and the other contestants were high.
For entree, they served Salt and Pepper flathead fillets with lime and aioli. The judges and other teams agreed that the fish was overcooked, lacked the salt and pepper flavour and Manu said that the side salad was soggy and slimy.

The menu said that their main course was Rotolo of Gnocchi and Duck Ragu with Crispy Sage. When it came to making the gnocchi, the potatoes had dried out and they decided to instead make their own pasta and serve the ragu on top of it.
Two hours after the entree had been served, they admitted to their guests that they had trouble in the kitchen – and the taste of the food showed.
Manu said their pasta was overcooked and Pete said the ragu had too much salt.
Thinking that dessert might save them from elimination, the girls headed back to the kitchen to prepare their Crème Patissiere Tarts with Prunes in Port Syrup.
Unfortunately, dessert was not much better. The tart bases were rock hard and no one could break through them, instead picking them up to eat like a slice of pizza!
Sadly for the girls, their total score was 40, which fell below the current lowest team, Annie and Lloyd, who were sitting on 45.
