Husband Demands Wife Get An Abortion After Ultrasound Showed She Was Carrying A Girl

Husband Demands Wife Get An Abortion After Ultrasound Showed She Was Carrying A Girl

The story you’re about to read is heartbreaking and chilling. The pregnant woman in question sounds like she’s found herself in a situation she can’t get out of and has turned to the internet to ask for help.

It all started when a couple went in for a routine ultrasound which showed that the baby they were about to have was a healthy baby girl. While this news should’ve been exciting for both parents, one of them didn’t feel any joy. In fact the husband seemed quite pissed and angry at his wife.

In the since deleted REDDIT post, the mum said her husband asked her to terminate the pregnancy because he wanted a boy. She said she knew something wasn’t right as soon as she saw her husband’s face during the ultrasound.

The distraught mum said she had begged him to come to the ultrasound appointment but  now wished she hadn’t. She wrote that she had no idea he would react as strongly as he did to the news. “He just went silent,” she wrote. “And then he made me leave my appointment early. I tried to object, but he grabbed my arm really hard and told me that we’re going home.”

Upon leaving the clinic, the husband made a chilling remark which has prompted commenters on Reddit to warn the woman of the danger she’s in.

“He told me he wants me to have an abortion,” she shared. “I asked him why and he told me he doesn’t want a girl so I’ll get an abortion and we’ll try again for a boy.” But even after she refused, her husband replied with a cryptic, “Yeah, okay we’ll see.”

“I don’t know why he would put me in this position,” she continued. “I can only hope that he calms down and lets it go, but I don’t think that will happen. My friends would never understand and I just can’t bring myself to talk to my father or my brothers about this.”

While we can’t be a hundred percent sure, it sounds like this woman is in a very dangerous position both for herself and her unborn baby. One commenter said: “I don’t know you or your situation but reading how he acted, was painful. The way he grabbed you, his demeanor, are you safe with him? Is your baby safe with him? There’s so many red flags reading this that, whoah I hope you do what’s best for you and the baby but I’m so sorry you’re going through that.”

“This doesn’t sound crazy, it sounds like reproductive coercion,” another added. “Coupled with your husband physically harming you by grabbing and squeezing you with the intent to hurt you, this is abuse.”

Another woman said she should get the hell out as quick as possible. “You should be packing your bags and leaving,” the commenter wrote. “This is abusive behavior. This is not someone who’s just disappointed, this is someone who is dangerous. You and your baby do not need or deserve to live under this kind of stress.”

In a REDDIT update the mum (who stated she was from Brazil) agreed and said she will leave him. “I will leave him,” she wrote. “I really don’t want to but I know that I have to.”
