Is Karl Stefanovic Leaving Today?
Karl Stefanovic is reportedly in ‘money talks’ with Nine Entertainment chief executive David Gyngell with news that his contract with Channel Nine is almost up.
“He’s talking directly with David,” Nine Network Director of News and Current Affairs Darren Wick said Wednesday at the network 2016 upfronts.
“They’re both pretty relaxed, pretty confident they’ll do a deal. Karl’s a big part of the family. We love him and he loves us. And like a family, he’s a character, he’s certainly unique that’s for sure.”
Who will take his place if Karl doesn’t sign on the dotted line?
“Can’t tell you that at the moment,” Darren answered.
Karl has co-hosted Today for 11 years alongside Lisa Wilkinson.
