Kate DeAraugo is back with a new look and a new single!
10 years ago a then 19-year-old Kate DeAraugo got her ticket to fame by winning Australian Idol and now shes back with a new look and a new single that is set to climb the charts.
Kate has told that her life changed for the better when she stopped blaming others for her problems.
“We all have choices,” she said. “You can’t blame anyone. Sure I felt crap due to some of the things that happened but I can’t put that on anybody and that was the turning point for me, owning my own stuff.”

She’s been living back at home in Bendigo with her parents for the last couple of years and she’s back with a new single, Shut Your Mouth, and a new body – thanks to getting a gastric sleeve fitted. She’s lost 70kgs and at her heaviest weighed 127.5kgs.
“When I decided to have part of my stomach removed, I realised it was serious,” she said. “You can eat whatever you want, it’s not a magic wand, but you can only get little bits in at a time. it is drastic but I was at a drastic point and it was the best decision for me.”
