My Kitchen Rules kicked off its new season on Monday night and we jumped headfirst into Jac and Shaz’s first instant restaurant in Mt Isa.
The ladies started off strong with their rosti entree. The judges loved it but the other contestants werent happy that they didnt smoke their own salmon.
The lamb racks they used for their main meal were full of fat and too big, according to some of the other contestants.

As they were preparing their dessert, a pear and walnut crumble, Manu joined them in the kitchen and warned them against using on of their chosen ingredients – Gorgonzola, a very strong blue cheese.
“If I ordered a dessert, and suddenly there’s blue cheese on there, I would be annoyed at that,” he said.
Unfortunately for Jac and Shaz, Pete and the other guests agreed with Manu, and they didnt score too well in their first instant restaurant – 59 out of a possible 100.
