Pop star Sam Smith will be the British male solo artist to sing a James Bond theme in 50 years.
Sam will write and record Writing’s On The Wall for SPECTRE which will be released on September 25.
He co-wrote the new Bond song with Jimmy Napes, who he worked with on his debut album In The Lonely Hour.
“This is one of the highlights of my career,” Smith said in a statement.
“I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it.”
SPECTRE will be released in Australia on November 12 after its UK premiere on October 26.
