Spedding Arrested in Relation to Historical Child Sex Offences

According to Yahoo news,  63 year old washing machine repair man William Spedding has been arrested  and is expected to be charged with child sex offences dating back to the 1980’s.

Spedding, who was previously named as a person of interest in the investigation into the disappearance of toddler William Tyrell, was arrested at his Bonny Hills home, south of Port Maquarie.  He is being questioned by police in relation to a historical child abuse allegation, involving the alleged sexual assault of two young girls, aged 3 and 6 back in 1987 in Sydney.

The arrest of Spedding is not related to the William Tyrrell case.

Investigations into the toddlers whereabouts will continue.
