Whoopi Goldberg Launches Medical Marijuana Business
Whoopi Goldberg is launching a medical marijuana business to help women fight period pain.
“I have grown granddaughters who have severe cramps, so I said this is what I want to work on,” Whoopi said.
“I want to go nice and slow with this. I don’t want this to be a joke to people. It’s not a joke to women,” she told USA TODAY.
Whoopi has teamed up with Maya Elisabeth, one of the leading “canna-businesswomen” in the field to launch the medical-marijuana company, Maya & Whoopi.
“For me, I feel like if you don’t want to get high high, this is a product specifically just to get rid of discomfort,” she told Vanity Fair.
Whoopi’s new venture is no surprise to anyone, as she has spoken openly on her talk show The View that she wants it to be legalised. She also uses a “vape” pen filled with marijuana oil to combat glaucoma headaches saying it is a better solution than taking numerous painkillers every single day.
