Woman Asks If She Was Wrong To Walk Out Of Restaurant Because Husband Was Taking Too Long In The Bathroom!

Woman Asks If She Was Wrong To Walk Out Of Restaurant Because Husband Was Taking Too Long In The Bathroom!

A woman says she had no choice but to get up and leave a restaurant because her husband was taking FOREVER in the bathroom. Was she wrong to leave him there or would you have done the same thing?

I mean we’re all guilty of taking a few extra moments in the toilet to scroll on our phones and respond to emails. Especially when you’re a parent and sometimes the bathroom is your own place away from clingy kids. Sad but true, I know.

But when it’s your husband who’s excused himself from a restaurant to go to the bathroom, how long do you think it’s acceptable to wait? One woman has written into Reddit explaining that she had no idea what her husband was doing in the bathroom so she ditched him.

“He said he’d be back in a minute. My husband ‘Justin’ started spending a lot of time inside the bathroom after we moved into our new home,” the woman wrote. “We’re talking 45min for just ‘peeing’ 4-5 times a day.”

And while she found the at home toilet time annoying, she was even more irritated when they went out for dinner one night.

“Before he went, I gently reminded him that we were at a restaurant therefore he shouldn’t take too long inside the rest room,” she continued. “He made a face and told me to knock it off because he’d be back in a minute.”

After 15 minutes he still hadn’t appeared. So she texted him. Nothing. She called him. Nothing. She even went into the men’s toilet and asked if he was ok. He said he’s be out in a moment. Except he wasn’t! The food arrived and the poor woman was left alone with two mains staring at her. So she started eating.

“I called his phone one last time after I was finished but he hung up on me,” she said. “I was very upset I just asked the waitress to split the bill, paid, left a tip and walked out.”

The woman arrived home with an Uber and her husband got home 20 minutes later. Furious, mind you.

“He pitched a fit and gave a lecture about how selfish I was to abandon him there even though I called and he hung up but he said his battery died,” she said.

“He said he thought our meal was going to take time so he went to use the rest room and I should’ve waited for him a little longer after I notified him about the meal but I was too selfish.”

Now the woman is questioning whether she should actually have waited for him! The response from commenters on Reddit were pretty much in agreeance – hell no!

“What the f**k is he doing?” asked one person, who noted it could only be one of four things: “1 – Addicted to video games on his phone, 2 – Addicted to porn on his phone / masturbating, 3 – Has serious troubles going to the bathroom and is very messy, 4 – Something else?”

They added, “Whatever it is, the issue needs to be addressed.”

Absolutely it does!

“Whichever it is, he’s not being 100 per cent honest with you, and you should not have to be forced to sit in a restaurant for 40+ minutes waiting for him to finish using the rest room,” offered another.

“Ask him to leave his phone,” suggested one commenter. “This should be a simple request. If he leaves it and it still takes as long, it is probably something physically wrong he doesn’t want to talk about and needs to go to the dr.”
