Wonderland’s Michael Dorman Lands Hollywood Role
Australian actor Michael Dorman, who starred in Network Ten drama Wonderland before it was quietly axed, has scored the lead role in The Patriot, a pilot that’s just been picked up by Amazon’s streaming service in the United States.
Being advertised as a comedic thriller, it follows not-quite-master spy John Tavner as he fights to stop Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
When is isn’t acting, Michael maintains a low-key lifestyle, spending much of his time in the small Queensland town of Bundaberg, choosing to commute to sets rather than relocate to the big smoke.
His first major role was on the hugely successful series The Secret Life Of Us in 2002.
