Young Girl Dressed In Alligator Costume Plays Piano For Lemurs At Zoo
Dressed in a bright green alligator costume, 11 year old Seenlada Supat is keeping the animals company at the Bangkok Zoo while visitor numbers drop due to the Covid-19 pandemic. If this isn’t the sweetest thing you’ve seen all day then we don’t know what it is!
Playing a series of tunes on her keyboard, Supat seems unfazed at the dozens of lemurs who jump enthusiastically around her. The outdoor recitals at Khao Kheow Open Zoo, southeast of Bangkok are all performed to keep the animals company while visitor numbers remain low due to covid.
“I’m playing music to soothe the animals to help them feel relaxed and give them company so they are not too lonely,” she told Reuters.
She says the concerts give her a chance to practice before a live audience and overcome stage fright. “I wanted them to be involved with me while I’m playing music,” she said. “It isn’t a problem when an animal jumps on my keyboard, I don’t mind, it’s as if they’re playing music with me too.”
