The Real Housewives Of Melbourne Officially Renewed For A Fourth Season!

The Real Housewives Of Melbourne Officially Renewed For A Fourth Season!

It’s the news Housewives fans have been waiting for – The Real Housewives of Melbourne has been officially renewed for it’s fourth season! The hit reality series, who broke rating records in Australia and in the U.S. during the show’s third season this year will return in 2017.

Foxtel announced the news this week via an official Press Release.

“Foxtel’s signature success stories, The Real Housewives of Melbourne, Grand Designs Australia, Selling Houses Australia, Gogglebox Australia, Coast Australia, The Great Australian Bake Off, Crimes That Shook Australia and Stage & Screen, will all be back in new seasons.

“Our commitment will fund new Australian productions including the event dramas, Picnic at Hanging Rock and Australia Day, factual titles Lawless: The Real Bushrangers, Court Justice, Demolition Man and The Real Housewives of Sydney, to name a few.”

So far there’s no word on who will be returning to Season 4, but at the moment the only confirmed cast member not returning is Chyka Keebaugh. All other cast members have been invited to return to the Australian franchise of the reality juggernaut, but there is no word yet on whether they will opt in or not.

It is believed that Lydia is still a bit touchy about returning to the series and is “worried about being attacked like she was last season.” I can see that she hasn’t developed any self-awareness in her spare time since season three ended.

A source close to the Melbourne socialite has revealed to TV Deets the reasons behind Lydia’s reluctance to rejoin her castmates for season 4.

“I’m not sure if [Lydia] will come out guns blazing or take a back seat,” says the source, explaining that she remains shocked by the backstabbing that took place in her eyes. “They are definitely talking about season 4 but no firm commitment has been made.”

And in other exciting Housewives news, it has been announced that The Real Housewives of Sydney will premiere on Arena on Sunday, February 26, 2017!

Whoohoo! Looks like 2017 will be an absolute cracker! Will you be watching?
