Alfi Arcuri is The Voice Australia Winner ✌

Alfi Arcuri is The Voice Australia Winner, with Adam Ladell coming in second✌

We have our winner!

The Voice Australia wrapped up it’s fifth season this evening with Team Delta’s Alfie Arcuri being crowned the winner of the popular singing competition.

Almost lost in the glittering confetti of the winner’s announcement was Team Delta’s other singer,  runner-up Adam Ladell, who has been tipped to score his own recording deal as a consolation prize.

Tash Lockhart from Team Ronan came in third place with Team Jessie’s Ellen Reed taking out fourth position.

“I didn’t think I was going to turn a chair, let alone be in the final four. It’s been an amazing experience for me” Ellen, the 27 year old redhead from Brisbane said. “I feel like I am at the ARIA’s or something”.

Good Charlotte and Fifth Harmony performed in what was the culmination of one of the biggest series of the Channel Nine juggernaut since it’s inception in 2012.

Good Charlotte performed their latest single ‘Life Can’t Get Much Better’

US Group Fifth Harmony performed at this evening’s event also.

The final four consisted of Team Delta’s Adam Ladell and Alfie Arcuri, Team Jessie’s Ellen Reed and Team Ronan’s Tash Lockhart. No one from Team Madden made it through to the grand finale with Andrew Loadsman and Aaliyah Warren being eliminated in last week’s Semi Final.

It was a big night of live music for the final four contestants.

Alfie performed ‘Beneath Your Beautiful’ with Delta…

Tash sang ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’ with Ronan Keating…

Unfortunately for Tash, there was a wardrobe malfunction…

Concerns were held for Adam Ladell’s safety while he performed ‘Superheroes’ in several inches of water onstage. Not entirely sure, but I didn’t think electrical equipment like microphones and such did okay in water? Apparently it’s all good!

He teamed up for another duet with Delta Goodrem later so he must have been fine. ‘True Colors’ was a particularly poignant choice for the teen with Tourettes Syndrome.

Ellen and Jessie J smashed out their version of Chaka Khan’s ‘Ain’t Nobody’.

But it was Delta Goodrem’s and Alfie Arcuri’s night, and they deserved their win. Congratulations to them!
