Make Your World Magic Again!

Make Your World Magic Again!

The best thing about having little girls is being able to relive all of the magical times of your own childhood.

I adore fairy wings and sparkly pink glitter and laying in the shade of a tree, reading Enid Blyton books and imagining the fairies and goblins coming down the Faraway Tree.

Best of all I love to sit and have a tea party with the dollies and teddies and sip from delicate cups and pretend to be a fairy princess. Even at my age!

I think that in the age of the Disney princess that children’s imaginations have become very fixed on what a princess should look and speak like (mostly with American accents) but I think that we should foster their imaginations more and encourage free play, with a few props!

I was at Cheap as Chips today and found this beautiful mushroom set (for $129) and I HAD to have it!

How perfect for tea parties! How magic can you make your garden with a piece like this? It will even be lovely in my daughter’s bedroom for her to sit and read her picture books at night. The moment I saw it I could see the magic in it

Of course, every fairy must have a little frock and head band, Cheap as Chips carry a great stock of the cutest stuff for little girls! The lovely little dress was only $10 ( you can get pink or purple, or both!) and the headband with its baby roses was even cheaper!

I found teeny, tiny glass bottles for glitter and the smallest fairies and unicorn ornaments you have ever seen. Rummaging through the shelves of Cheap as chips you can find everything you need to help develop the imagination of every girl, big or small, and everything to create a perfect girls’ bedroom of fairy party.

I must admit that I am so in love with the mushroom set that we had to take it to the park and sit under the Faraway Tree to have out afternoon tea, luckily its light weight.

I think that we might be here a while, I am not leaving till our book is finished and we see if we can entice Mrs Wash-a-lot to join us for a cup of tea.
