School Holiday Fun: The Big Freeze Winter Family Festival

School Holiday Fun: The Big Freeze Winter Family Festival

Having grown up in the UK, I am only too familiar with the excitement of waking up on a crisp Winter morning to a white blanket of snow!

The crunch of snow beneath your boots, moulding it into little balls to throw at unsuspecting victims, building a snowman in the backyard and warming up with a mug of hot chocolate afterwards. Ahhh!  Those were the days!

That’s why I’m a tad excited about taking my kids to The Big Freeze Winter Festival these school holiday. They’ll get to enjoy the magic of playing in the snow and, unlike a couple of years ago when we went on a day trip to Mount Donna Buang, we won’t have to sit in the car for hours or spend a small fortune on snow gear just for a few hours of snow play!

The Big Freeze is an AWESOME new indoor family winter festival launching in 2016. So your kids can have an incredibly fun winter experience – right here in Melbourne!
There’ll be activities galore AND you can book a session to play in their cold, icy snowpit that’s completely undercover and protected from the weather. They guarantee fresh snow three times a day!

Children’s tickets also include a 4 park pass to Phillip Islands nature Parks so it represents great family value and you’ll be able to plan some other fun outings over the school holidays!

The Big Freeze Festival promises hours of fun with activity zones including a snowpit, a snow ball toss, snowball forest, a giant inflatable snow globe photo opportunity, polar bear inflatable slide ride, inflatable igloo, stage shows, snowboarding, construction zone and lots more!

You can read more about the activities on offer at the festival here.

We cannot wait! Keep an eye out for a review of the festival coming soon!

Jolene

Jolene enjoys writing, sharing and connecting with other like-minded women online – it also gives her the perfect excuse to ignore Mount-Washmore until it threatens to bury her family in an avalanche of Skylander T-shirts and Frozen Pyjama pants. (No one ever knows where the matching top is!) Likes: Reading, cooking, sketching, dancing (preferably with a Sav Blanc in one hand), social media, and sitting down on a toilet seat that one of her children hasn’t dripped, splashed or sprayed on. Dislikes: Writing pretentious crap about herself in online bio’s and refereeing arguments amongst her offspring.
