Big W Recall Popular Finding Dory Toy Due to Potential Button Battery Exposure

Finding Dory Recall

Big W have urgently recalled the Finding Dory Under the Sea Light Up Treasure Chest which was sold nationally in all its stores between 1 June 2016 – 4 August 2016.

The reason for the recall is due to the battery compartment not being securely fastened, which can expose the button batteries.

Button batteries pose a hazard to little children who swallow them as they think they are lollies. The consequence of kids swallowing the button battery can be catastrophic. They can suffer from internal burn injuries, which can cause them to be very ill and sometimes death. The buttons can also be a choking hazard.

Finding Dory Recall

Customers who bought the popular toy should cease using it and return the item to any Big W story for a full refund.

Barcode number of the item is 9312475986804.
