Fashion House Gucci Releases A New Swimsuit With One Major Flaw!
Do you ever get the feeling that fashion houses are just taking the piss out of their customers? Remember when Balenciaga released their IKEA looking bag for thousands of dollars? Or how about the tote that looked like a blanket bag? And who can forget the platform Crocs complete with bling and a $500 price tag! Insane.
Now we have Gucci to thank for their $380 one piece swim suit that…wait for it…can’t be worn in the water. Yep, you heard correctly. It’s a swimsuit that must never come in contact with chlorine. In fact the fashion house itself states: “Due to the nature of this particular fabric, this swimsuit should not come into contact with chlorine.”
This particular type of fabric?? Is Gucci tripping? For that much money did no-one bother to do their research and come up with a fabric that can be worn in water. I don’t know…like spandex!
The high-end brand’s swimsuit, a white one-piece with a vintage Gucci logo and cross-over straps needs to be rebranded as a bodysuit and stop pretending it’s something it’s not!
According to the website, the pricey swimsuit is made of 80 per cent nylon, 20 per cent elastane – fabrics apparently better suited for a non-chlorinated environment.
Who is actually buying this? Well funny you should ask. Many people apparently. Cause this shiz is completely sold out! Yep! People have forked out over $300 for some togs they can’t wear while swimming.
