Mum Gives Son The Most Aussie Sounding Name Ever!
Mum Gives Son The Most Aussie Sounding Name Ever!
Tell me you’re Australian without telling me you’re Australian. One mum says everyone will soon start copying the uniquely Australian name she gave her son. Hmmm, we’re not sure. What do you think?
Mum Isabella Veronica Hayes, 23 posted a follow up video holding her son in response to haters who said she would regret his name choice. Isabella told her the 60,000 followers that she did not not have ANY baby name regret, even though the moniker is totally unique.
“My son’s name is Holden Commodore,” she begins.
“Originally we wanted to call him Commodore, but that’s illegal in Australia.” (It’s a banned name because Commodore in this country refers to a very high-ranking Navy official.)

“So, we called him Holden Commodore. He’ll be one soon, and I do not regret it at all.”
The mum goes on to say, “Holden Commodore suits him perfectly, and I know people will probably start copying me with the name because it’s so cool.”
Holden by itself is a beautiful and common name but added together with Commodore then you have the name of one of Australia’s most iconic cars. Truly, is there a more Aussie name?
The clip has since gone viral and of course the comments section is just as wild as you’d expect.
One person wrote, “If my son is anything like me, I’m gonna call him Ford Falcon because he’ll break down all the time.”
Another wondered if there was more behind the name choice, “Named after the place of conception?”
“So he basically sits on the front lawn and does nothing?”
And this one: “Please tell me he has a mullet to match?”
Others shared there one car baby names with one saying, “My husband wanted to call our daughter Maserati.”
What do you think of the name Holden Commodore? If nothing else it’s certainly a conversation starter!
