Mum Shares Noise Function Built into iPhones to Help Baby Sleep

“Here’s a parenting hack that I wish I knew ages ago,” mum Kassie shares in her TikTok video. Did you know this feature existed?

Midwife and mum Kassie, shared a video to TikTok  showing followers a great feature she discovered on her iPhone to help babies fall asleep.

“My mum/midwife/lactation consultant friend Kate from Milky Business shared this in her stories and I had to let you know about it!” Kassie says in the video. Alongside the clip,she says, “Here’s a parenting hack that I wish I knew ages ago. Did you know that your iPhone has a built-in white noise machine?”

Saying she had no idea this function existed Kassie wanted to let other tired parents know who may have been also unaware.

Here’s how to find the white noise in your phone. Follow these steps:

• Settings
• Accessibility
• Audio-Visual
• Background sounds

An even easier way is to open the settings app, swipe down from the top and search for ‘background sounds’.

“Seriously… life-changing,” Kassie adds.

And guess what? We weren’t the only ones who had no idea this function existed! Commenters on the video couldn’t believe the feature had been on their phones all along.

“Oh my gosh, game-changer!” said one mum, to which Karrie replied, “My mind was blown!”

Another wrote, “Seriously been looking up white noise at night on Google.”

“I wish I knew this four years ago!” said a third.

I mean honestly, apart from putting baby to sleep we could use some little white noise ourselves occasionally!
