Mum Slammed on TikTok After Sharing a Video of Her Baby Daughter Walking in Heels
A woman has been shamed online after posting a video of her baby daughter walking around in heels.
Sharing what she thought was a fun, lighthearted clip of her little girl stumbling her way along in pink baby socks and tiny heels with silver satin bows on the front, the mum was soon met with backlash from all sides.

“They can damage her feet; babies are not supposed to be in heels,” one person said in the video’s comments.
“One way to break your baby’s ankle if she were to go over on it,” added another, while a third went all in on the criticism of the mum’s choices: “Really? Let’s completely ruin your child’s feet – what exceptional parents you are NOT!”
“Wrong on all levels,” chimed in another social media user.
Despite the scathing assessment of the woman’s parenting skills, the mum posted a comment on the short video explaining that the shoes were not as they seemed.
“They ARE BUILD A BEAR SHOES THEY ARE SOFT AND HER HANDS WAS BEING HELD thank you for all your concerns,” she wrote defensively.
Well, yes, now that she mentions it, those shoes do appear to belong to a stuffed bear. And it’s not as though her child exclusively wears these shoes all day every day now, is it?
Once everyone’s pearls became unclutched, people saw the funny side.
“Me tryna walk home after a sesh,” laughed a woman, clearly relating to the baby’s staggering walk.
Another responded: “Definitely know that feeling!!” with a bunch of laughing emojis.
“To be fair, she walks better in heels than me!” commented a third.
All of this proves that a seven-second glimpse into someone else’s life rarely provides enough information or context to judge someone else’s entire parenting history. Do you agree?
