The New Skittles Ad For Mother’s Day Grosses Out The Entire World!

The New Skittles Ad For Mother’s Day Grosses Out The Entire World!

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and the market is flooded with cutesy advertisements for pyjamas and scented candles. Print ads show mums and kids happily celebrating their special bond with a picnic in the park, a special family lunch or footage of a son still attached to his mum via a humongous umbilical cord. Wait. What??

Yep. You heard correctly. The latest offering by candy company Skittles is unlike any mother’s day commercial you have ever seen in your life.

Titled the “Umbilical” the deeply disturbing ad features a mum eating skittles one by one while her son correctly guesses the flavours of each one. He guesses them correctly because a huge umbilical cord is still attached to them!! Ewwww!

And if that isn’t creepy enough, the son remarks, “Oh mother, I love eating Skittles every time you eat Skittles,” and she expresses that the feeling is mutual. Vom.

We really have no words for this footage. You have to watch it for yourself. But be warned- once you hit play you will never be able to unsee the horror!

As the tagline on Youtube says, “Nothing brings a mum and her children close together like Skittles. Happy Mother’s Day!”
