Sephora Shop Assistant Praised For Helping Bullied Girl!

A mum has written a heartwarming post on Facebook about the interaction between a shop assistant and her daughter that helped restore her faith in humanity!

The teenage daughter had been having a rough time at school with the mean girls in her class who had been picking on her about her appearance. They would comment on everything from her hair colour, to her skin to her full brows.

The Ontario teen begged her mum to take her to make-up superstore Sephora so she could buy some make up to make her feel beautiful.

“I was against this at first, but if there was a possibility of it boosting her confidence, I decided it would be alright,” the mum wrote on a Facebook group called ‘Spotted in Windsor’.

While the duo were wandering around the store, one of the cheerful assistants came over to offer them some help.

“She fit almost all of the criteria (from the outside) as the type of girls who pick on my daughter,” the mum wrote.

The assistant called Shayna, turned out to be exactly what the teenager needed.

“We were helped with products of course, but more than anything her kindness towards my daughter was what stunned me,” the mum wrote.

“I feel as though she somehow caught onto my daughters struggles with self-esteem during our conversation, and she went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable in her own skin.”

Shayna focused on all the parts of the teenager’s appearance that the other girls had been teasing and made her feel good about them. She managed to convince the teen that her curly hair was amazing and her bushy brows were exactly what was on trend at the moment and she should definitely not touch them!

“SERIOUSLY girl, are you psychic??? She took the time to truly relate to my daughter,” the mum said.

“They talked about what had been going on at school, self-confidence, what truly makes a person beautiful, and how makeup is just something to enhance your natural beauty. She was so genuine, kind-hearted and thoughtful. They even joked around a bit, and I saw my daughter light up and act silly for the first time in MONTHS,” she said.

The interaction between the shop assistant and the young girl is the most gorgeous display of friendship and support we have seen in a long time. Never underestimate how powerful a kind word or helpful gesture can be to someone. You never know just how much they might need it!
