Sex Shop Employee Shares Hilarious Reason Why They Didn’t Want Their Family To Know Where They Worked

If you work in a sex shop, you might think twice about telling people where you work.

One sex shop employee didn’t want their family to know what they did for a buck so they tried to keep it on the down low. They shared their hilarious story over on Reddit, explaining what happened when word got out that they sold sex toys for a living.

“A few days ago I started working at Adult World,” the young male poster began, adding that it was their first ever job.

“I shared the news with a few friends but decided not to tell my family because I was convinced my parents would not approve of me working at a sex shop.”

This is probably one of the main reasons not to tell people that you work in a dildo emporium. People can be a bit weird about these things, as I’m sure you’ll agree.

Unfortunately for our young worker, his sister found out about his exciting new gig.

“In an attempt to embarrass me, she showed up at the store while I was working. Mission accomplished. I was embarrassed. To add insult to injury, she acted like a customer and asked me for information about random sex toys she pretended to be interested in. I played along because the manager was keeping an eye on me.

“For the record, siblings of the opposite sex should never touch the same butt plug, especially if there’s eye contact.”

“When my sister was done playing games, I begged her not to tell our parents,” he continued.

But did she keep that promise? Hell no!

“The following day, my mum appeared in the store.”

Instead of throwing a tantrum in the BDSM essentials aisle, the man’s mum had something else in mind.

“My mum wanted to know why she had to find out from someone else about my job,” our hero wrote.

“I said I didn’t think she would approve. My mum said she approved, as long as I could get her a discount. The fuck, mother. I thought she was joking until I had to bag some of the products she literally purchased.”

“If my dad shows up as well, since it seems to be a family thing, then I might fucking fire myself.”
