This “Very Slim” Mum Was Hilariously Roasted After Sharing a Smug Lunch Post

This “Very Slim” Mum Was Hilariously Roasted After Sharing a Smug Lunch Post

A woman in the UK has taken to the popular chat board Mumsnet to share a picture of her lunch, complete with a full description and information about her healthy lifestyle.

That’s all well and good, we might say. Good for her. Loads of people share pictures of their lunch, right?

Well, unfortunately for “Holidayhooray”, her post was not very well received at all, with fellow boardies doubting her intentions and calling her out for the “horrendously smug” way she worded her post.

We can see why…

I consulted Mr Google, and 8 stone is 50kg, give or take a couple of extra beetroot balls.

Ohh dear. We could see that is not going to go down well with the mums who’ve just grabbed a vegemite sanger and a can of diet coke for lunch.

Many of the 450+ comments posted in response were quick to poke fun at the mum’s seemingly self-congratulatory tone.

“This thread title sounds horrendously smug,” one commenter wrote.

“Gosh, how fascinating! Thank you so much for sharing this wisdom! Thank god you turned up!” another added.

Holidayhooray admitted that she worded her post badly, wasn’t trying to be smug and did not take any offence at the teasing nature of the comments she received.

“I’m sorry. Wasn’t being smug. I suppose I just like being nosy about this sort of thing and I framed it poorly,” she wrote in response.

Here are some of the hilarious comments she received on her post:

⦿ I have a fantastic arse and I ate leftover takeaway curry for breakfast. I also have pretty banging eyebrows.

⦿ I’m a right fat cow, and I had a cup of black tea for breakfast and two apples for lunch.

⦿ Bloody hell I keep re-reading the OP and laughing my ass off (good way to slim down?) Sorry OP but you sound like Gwyneth Paltrow.

⦿ Sorry OP but you do! I was half expecting for you to start waxing lyrical about steaming your vagina. I won’t take the piss too much though because I don’t think this is coming from a bad place. I’m glad you are slim and happy.

⦿ I’ve had half a mug of tea, do I win?

⦿ For some reason, this thread has properly tickled me. I may start my own entitled ‘what a slightly chubby person who has just run 14 miles but hasn’t gone shopping yet is having for lunch’.

⦿ “What a perfectly healthy person who is a stone overweight is having for lunch”

A cheese sandwich.
Something called hummus bites – very disappointing.
Fruit.
Water.

It might get more exciting at dinner. I may decide to eat pasta out of Tom Hardy’s bum crack.

Or I might not.

⦿ What a fairly fat person is having for lunch – half an avocado and a scrambled egg in half a wholemeal tortilla. I couldn’t eat all that fruit. Too much sugar for me. I also won’t eat anything until dinner time. Never eat between meals. Still quite fat.

⦿ This slim person had a double cheeseburger and curly fries, yum yum yum yum.

⦿ Is this a skinny person’s equivalent of mansplaining? Thinsplaining?

⦿ This slightly dumpy middle-aged woman had a breaded chicken steak with a very small jacket tatie and the remains of last night’s homemade baked beans. She will be farting merrily all the way to tea time.

The poster’s lunch did actually look really nice though. And her information, while unsolicited, is inspiring and helpful for anyone looking to make a healthier change in their lifestyles.

Maybe next time she’ll just pen a generic (but always super fun and informative) dinner thread and be done with it.

If anyone is wondering, this mum will be having a ham and cheese toasted sandwich for lunch, then will be doing a little recipe searching for anything involving Tom Hardy’s arse in the hope of a more exciting dinner!
