Stuck For A Creative New Way To Announce Your Pregnancy? Ultrasound Nail Art is Here!

Pregnancy announcements are a big deal to the expecting couple, whether they’ve planned to scream the news from the rooftops at 12 weeks or quietly tell their nearest and dearest as soon as they are comfortable. The message that a new little one will soon be joining a family is very special, no matter how it is conveyed.

Now there’s a new way to celebrate your pregnancy!

A salon in the UK recently went viral for sharing a snap of its avant-garde creation, which has the image of a black and white ultrasound scan carefully hand-painted onto an expectant mother’s middle fingernail.

Sarah Clarke, from Sarenity Hair and Beauty, painted her version of the scan freehand on to Stacey Donaldson’s nail ahead of her due date this week. After sharing images of her work she has been inundated with requests from other pregnant women for a version of their own.

She has since offered to paint or apply a tiny copy of the ultrasound picture to a false nail — presented in a little gift box — so that another nail technician could apply the tip as she is so busy doing ultrasound nail art since her work has gone viral. This false nail could also be kept as a keepsake.

This trend has been popping up here and there for a while, but Sarah’s nails are the first ones to trend with such a huge response, creating a whole new genre of nail art.

What do you think? Is this something you would love to try?
