People Share the Weirdest Things Kids Have Asked Santa For

Have you ever taken your child to the shopping centre, placed them on Santa’s lap for a cute photo and then been flabbergasted by what they asked him for? Kids don’t worry about practicality, affordability or whether something even exists, they just dream big and hope that Santa can make it happen. In between the usual toy requests are the absolute gems; the funny, bizarre, shockingly honest and unintentionally hilarious wishes that leave Santa and the parents holding back laughter or scratching their heads in confusion.

Here’s some of the stand-out requests that people shared on Reddit, proving that kids truly are comedy gold!

I have been a Mrs. Claus for the last few years and I always ask the kids what they want while we do our crafts.

My favourite was this 4-5 year old girl that told me she wanted “one of those loud horns”. She made a gesture like she was using those canned air horns and she made a little horn sound. She said she wants to use it to wake up her baby brother when he naps in the daytime so he “knows what it’s like.” (anon)

My 3 year old son asked Santa once for “a baby rhino” Santa told him that “The baby rhinos mama would be very sad to lose her baby though”

Then my son said, “okay, well I’ll take the mama too, maybe she can sleep in my moms bed.”

My uncle was a Santa and he told me that one year a kid asked for a coffee maker because he wanted to start his own Starbucks coffee stand instead of a lemonade stand. Apparently business was not very good as a lemonade stand but he noticed a lot of adults drink coffee, so he’d make coffee.

That kid is probably a millionaire now. (The_Calico_Jack)

Many years ago a small girl would not tell her mother what she wanted for Christmas. Mom told me the problem and I was to tell her after the kid jumped off my lap. The little girl hopped up and told me she wanted some make up and some tits…. ok now I have to tell mom.(LPGeoteacher)

All the Santas will be surprised this year as my 3 year old daughter asks for skeleton guts for Christmas. She found an anatomy figurine at barnes and noble and has wanted “skeleton guts” ever since. (rylokie)

i was a school santa. the kids there at the time were 8-10 one very sweet little girl sat on my knee with a big smile on her face. when i asked her what she wanted from santa she smiled bigger and said “i want a switchblade knife so i can kill my mean teacher! (artinacigar)

I remember a few years back that my 5-year-old niece asked for one of the colourful floppy swords that her mommy has. it’s a good thing santa has such a big beard because I just imagine the look on his face underneath. (starkiller5967)

I was one of Santas helpers one year and had to ask every kid what they wanted. One little five-year-old girl was all shy, so her dad pipes up “Go on, tell him what you want.” And she peeks her head around him and says “A beard.” (meenaduprix)

Not a Santa but I know a friend’s child had gone to visit Santa and as they walked up Santa asked “and what would YOU like for Christmas?” To which their kid replied in confusion “… i already told you yesterday…at Coles…” (HouseWife93)

I remember my son at like 3/4 standing in line so patiently for a solid hour and child in front of him goes and pulls out an actual list and starts explaining every item. My son looks up at me and says dead serious – I’m asking for that boy to get zero presents (anon)

I know someone whose daughter recently asked Santa for twin sisters for Christmas. What she didn’t know is that her mum is pregnant, and what nobody knew until her scan later is that it is indeed twins. (HarlequinValentine)

last year my 4-year-old daughter asked the mall Santa for a roll of toilet paper. (koolmon10)

Took our kid to see Santa and she asked for a washing machine. 😂 (Shinob1)

A kid I grew up with wrote a letter to Santa back in the day for a local newspaper and asked for a new little brother. He had a brother that was only like 2-3 at the time and the people hosting the event reminded him he had a younger brother already. He told them he’d rather Santa take him back and bring a new one. When my youngest was 4 she asked Santa for a brown, yellow and pink cow so she could have Chocolate, Banana or Strawberry Milk anytime she wanted. (Concealed Psychosis)

What’s the funniest or strangest thing your child has asked Santa for?
