Mum Shares 5 Rules She Has For Anyone Wanting To Date Her Daughter
An Aussie mum has shared the 5 strict rules she has for anyone wanting to date her daughter. And while they all seem fine, one of them has people seeing red. What do you think?
Aussie mum and TikToker, Kat Clark, shared a video where she outlined the five rules she has for anyone dating her daughter. “My daughter’s on a date right now and a lot of people ask me, ‘What are your rules on dating for your children?'” Kat says.
“Number one: Good luck! My girls are sassy as hell!
“My daughter and I share a birthday and her last boyfriend used to get me a gift too, so not only are my daughter’s expectations high but so are mine.”
“Number three: No sleepovers unless you’ve been dating for six months. I don’t even want to meet you face-to-face, sorry.
“Four: Your parents MUST be fun. Because if this relationship goes anywhere, I want my Christmases to be fun. I don’t want to have a Karen telling me what to do.
“And lastly, don’t EVER invite my daughter out to dinner and expect her to pay for her meal.”

Everything was going well until the last point where Kat assumed her daughter’s dates would be paying for her meals. This ruffled more than a few feathers with people saying this was a really old fashioned view of dating.
“You’re literally the best mum ever,” said one person.
Another added, “Her date watching this like…” with an eyeballs emoji.
“Yes queen!” said another.
“Agree with all except the last one,” said one commenter. “It’s powerful for women to pay for ourselves and our partners.”
“I was with you till the last one,” declared another. “Everyone wants equality till it’s time to pay the bill.”
And this one: “Prior to having my son I would’ve agreed with the last one but I wouldn’t want him dating anyone that expected him to pay for their meal.”
While another commenter asked: “Is it 1950?”
