7 Tips to Think About When Shopping for Clothes

imagesCAHGZ7U9

Do I need it?

Often we purchase clothes on impulse, we can get caught up in the moment. It looks good, feels good, I’ll buy it. Then we get home and we either have something similar, or it just sits in the wardrobe with the tag on it. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

Where would I wear it?

Always a good idea to stop and think, “would I really wear it, and where to?” Think about your lifestyle, would it suit the type of life you lead. Is it too dressy, formal, young, revealing or just not practical.

Does it suit my shape?

Not matter how beautiful or expensive an outfit may be, unless it suits your shape it won’t do you any favours. Know your shape, try it on.

Will it mix and match?

Think about whether the item will blend in with your wardrobe. Does it match your great jacket, pants or work beautifully over your dress? One piece, can be worked many different ways.

Try it on?

Do not walk out that door without trying it on. Holding it up, it looks good, feels good, is the perfect colour and right size, BUT in the change room it’s not working. Too tight, too revealing, too short………

Is it my colour?

Colour is really important, it can make you look fresh and alive or yellow, tired, old and grey. Hold the piece up to your face, does it blend in with your own colouring, do you eyes shine, do you have a even glow?
