Super Easy Chicken Parmigiana Bake Recipe
Super Easy Chicken Parmigiana Bake Recipe
It would be difficult to find a meal more universally loved than Chicken Parmigiana. This classic pub-favourite can be made and on the table with little to no fuss in just over half an hour using the secret ingredient – a jar of pasta sauce!
Traditionally, a good chicken parma would be made from a chicken schnitzel with the sauce spooned over the top and grilled – this recipe calls for chicken breast fillets and an oven-bake method instead, resulting in delicious juicy chicken with ham in a fabulous cheesy tomato sauce.
And it couldn’t be easier!
Serves: 4-6
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 30 minutes
Difficulty: EASY

1 jar of tomato pasta sauce
4 slices of ham
Mozzarella cheese or grated tasty cheese
Fresh basil
Oven fries or home-made wedges and steamed veggies to serve
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C
2. Heat olive oil in a frying pan and cook chicken until browned slightly on both sides.
3. Spread 2 tablespoons of the pasta sauce across the bottom of a large baking dish and arrange the chicken so that the pieces don’t overlap.
