Kick Off Your Shoes and Make Yourself at Home!

I’m Jolene. Your fairy godmother hairy blogmother.
I don’t do special requests, or grant wishes. I definitely do not clean houses (I struggle with my own housework), and I have long since given up on turning pumpkins into glass carriages.
But what I will do, is take you on an honest journey through motherhood, the ups and the downs; the good, the bad and the f’ugly.
Have you ever looked at other Super-Mums and marvelled at how well they cope with EVERYTHING? Immaculately groomed, well-mannered children and sparkling homes that make show-houses look grubby. Well, rest assured, you won’t find any of that here.
Here we leave our judgement at the door, and wipe our feet on the way out!
Jolene’s Mumbo Jumbo is a real-life warts and all blog. It is a peek behind the scenes in my home, when the rest of the world isn’t watching.
Hopefully, you’ll leave here feeling a little more ‘normal,’ and a little less pressured to be ‘the perfect parent.’ Trust me, they don’t exist. Believe it or not we are all in the same boat muddling along (sometimes without a clue) doing the best we can for the people we love, (and crossing our fingers that we are getting at least some of it right.)
With a bit of luck, you’ll also part with a smile on your lips and a few more laughter lines!

Jolene enjoys writing, sharing and connecting with other like-minded women online – it also gives her the perfect excuse to ignore Mount-Washmore until it threatens to bury her family in an avalanche of Skylander T-shirts and Frozen Pyjama pants. (No one ever knows where the matching top is!) Likes: Reading, cooking, sketching, dancing (preferably with a Sav Blanc in one hand), social media, and sitting down on a toilet seat that one of her children hasn’t dripped, splashed or sprayed on. Dislikes: Writing pretentious crap about herself in online bio’s and refereeing arguments amongst her offspring.
