Brows That Look Like Feathers Are The Latest Beauty Trend And We’re Baffled!

Now don’t get me wrong, I love a new beauty trend just as much as the next person and usually I’m one of the first to give things a go. Matte lipstick? Tick! Contouring? Tried it. Threading? Loved it! Vajazzling? No way Jose!

But now a brow trend has emerged that has me kind of baffled! Up until today the only ‘feather brow’ look I knew of was the tattoo kind where you get your brows inked to ensure they always look on point. The term feathering comes from the short soft strokes the tattoo artist uses to replicate the natural look of each eye brow hair. When done properly it looks amazing!

Today though, I discovered the ‘feather brow.’ Which is when you make a deliberate part down your eye-brow separating the hairs and brushing them down so they look like an actual feather!

Finnish make-up artist Stella Sironen posted the first known photo of what she’d later call the #featherbrow and urged all her followers to try out the trend for themselves!

I’m no @stella.s.makeup but I had to give this #featherbrows look a go. Honestly I know she was having a joke but for real this is great. Just a quick few brushes with a clear brow gel to separate and hold and added some gold ✨ my brows are particularly thick, so much so that the hairs just don’t like to bend any other way so it didn’t work out too well for me. Used @jeffreestarcosmetics Androgyny palette for the eye.

I’m not convinced about this one? Firstly you need really bushy eyebrows and secondly I think they make you look like a tawny frogmouth! I think i’m going to stick to just filling in my eye-brows with my trusty brow powder. How about you? Are you game to try?
