In more sad news reagrding the death of Cory Monteith the coroner has now confirmed that Cory died of a mixture of heroin and alcohol ‘drug toxicity’.

As reported in People 

“At this point there is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith’s death was anything other than a most-tragic accident,” the BC Coroners Service says in a statement released Tuesday. 

Police spokesman Constable Brian Montague said, “There was evidence in the room that was consistent with a drug overdose.”

The actor died alone after being out that night with an unidentifed man and 2 women.

Cory’s partner and fellow Glee star Lea Michele is said to be grieving with the family and tendind to the funeral arrangements.

Lea and Cory had been together for just over 1 year.

Lea issued a statement by her reps:

“Lea is deeply grateful for all the love and support she’s received from family, friends, and fans. Since Cory’s passing, Lea has been grieving alongside his family and making appropriate arrangements with them,” reads the statement, obtained by PEOPLE exclusively. 

“They are supporting each other as they endure this profound loss together. We continue to ask the media to respect the privacy of Lea and Cory’s family.”
